Beloved Aussie hero Sophie Delezio has just announced some very big news.

The two-time car crash survivor is pregnant with a bundle of joy, posting the news alongside her husband Joseph Salerno.

“The greatest gift of all coming in September,” she revealed on her Instagram page on Wednesday, alongside a baby face and heart emoji.

The photos show the newly-wedded lovebirds smiling together on a beach and gently holding Ms Delezio’s belly.

Another shows an ultrasound picture of the baby on a smartphone.

The Aussie legend’s Instagram followers were overjoyed at the news.

“The most amazing news,” one said.

“Congratulations to you both makes me so happy to see great joy come into your life after everything you have been through.”

Ms Delezio first entered public consciousness as a little toddler when she was the victim of a horrific car crash that left her with burns to 85 per cent of her body

In 2003 a car crashed through the window of a Sydney childcare centre and little Sophie was trapped under the burning car.

Then in 2006, she was tragically struck again by a car near her home.

She suffered a brain injury and heart attack in the crash.

Her remarkable survival story gave her a special place in the hearts of many Australians.

In 2023, she became engaged to childhood friend Joseph.
