Born and raised in Liverpool, a young Jodie Comer was once planning to perform in a dance troupe with her friends for a school talent show. But when a family trip meant she couldn’t attend rehearsals, she opted to give a monologue in the show instead, which got her noticed by the drama teacher, who then sent her on an audition for a radio play, which became her first professional gig.
