A boy has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of another boy at a western Sydney school.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Power St at Doonside about 3.40pm on Friday, following reports two teenagers had been stabbed.

Before police could attend, two teens aged 18 and 19 presented to Blacktown Police Station with stab wounds.

The 18-year-old died at the scene, NSW Police said in a statement.

The other teen was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested nearby and taken to Mount Druitt Police Station.

A NSW Police spokesman said the boy had been charged with murder and refused bail to appear at a children’s court on Saturday.

Officers from Blacktown PAC with assistance from State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad has commenced an investigation into the incident under Strike Force Cooey.

More to come.
